The Laburnum Boat Club was set up in 1983 by local parents as a community-based facility on the Regents Canal, Hackney, Inner London, to develop the social skills and life chances of young people though watersports and shared activities.
It occupies a small site adjacent to the canal in Haggerston on which there are two buildings: a timber A-framed Club Hut and a separate classroom / office area. There is a fleet of around eighty canoes, kayaks and small craft, and three narrowboats, a climbing wall and grass area.
