The project is a refurbishment and single storey extension to the former Wormely post office to provide accommodation for a small accountancy practice. The works include internal alterations and complete refurbishment and repairs to the exterior and landscaping to the north and south of the building. The building, formerly the Wormley Post Office, was listed Grade II on 08th November 1983. It is believed that the building was given its protected status for its age and townscape value.
The choice of materials for the new openings are blackened solid oak frames and panelling. The proposed materiality and profiles for windows and doors represent a subtle intervention that will be in keeping with the heritage of the Old Post Office building and complement and enhance the features of the existing building.
