This project proposes the demolition of an existing glazed conservatory and the construction of a new single-storey first-floor extension to create an additional bedroom and ensuite bathroom. The site is located within the Clyde Circus Conservation Area, known for its distinctive 19th-century suburban development and classically inspired paired villas.
The proposed design introduces a refined, contemporary intervention, using a minimal palette of materials to ensure a subtle yet distinctive response to the historic setting. The extension is clad in standing seam metal, with powder-coated aluminium window frames and spandrel panels, all unified in a complementary tone.
